Help!!! Am I Done for???

So, some of the colleges that I have applied to wanted their FAFSA by February 1, and I foolishly didn't start my FAFSA application until today, Jan. 30th. I did not receive my PIN yet, so I had to submit the FAFSA by printing out the signature page to mail to them later. However, the FAFSA website says that they can't process my application until I mail them the printable signature page, and since no post office works during the weekend before Feb. 1 (Monday), I am unable to mail my signature page to have my app processed by then. I still submitted my FAFSA online before February 1, but it is not fully processed. So now, I am wondering if I have missed the deadline!!!!

Have I gotten into a mess, or do you think that there are too many applicants for my colleges to penalize me if they receive my FAFSA a little later than Feb.1 ?

Where exactly is it that you live that the post office is not open on Saturday January 31, 2009?

Sorry, actually, yes, the mailed signatures will arrive by Feb. 1 since I mailed them today(I'm crazy, don't ask), but do you think that my FAFSA will be processed in time, and that my colleges won't consider it late?

Thanks!

You will be fine. You got the FAFSA to the processor on time. Just don't forget to mail the signature page, because you will need it to actually receive your aid.

I sort of have the same situation as you and I think that both of us will be fine...I hope ))
