I am also applying to a few research programs over this summer (I APPLIED TO RSI, CORNELL, DREXEL, and NASA SHARP internships), so that will be good hopefully. Please help this indian brotha out. Thanks.

yep, you definitely have a chance! i was going to say something about the 1390 but i think 2150 + should be good.

your ECs are admirable, but i have to ask --> you got 800 on the 2C, and 680 on the 1C! how does that work? :) if i were you, i'd only report the 2c, for obvious reasons :D

so yeah, don't worry -- you definitely have a good chance. where are you thinking of applying?

...and that is the $0.02 this indian sista can give you right now :D

yea ima try mad hard, thanks, yea on IC i took that freshman year and i was pretty new n stuff and i thought 680 was pretty good, lol, but i took IIC in sophmore year and ripped that test up

GW is reeeeaaally competitive apparently - apply there, but make sure you have lots of other "safeties" too - lol is there such a things as a "safety BA-MD program"?

and yes, a higher SAT score will help you very much. think about it logically --> when you got 800 on the math 2c, 770 on the writing sat2, i don't see why you can't get 2300+ on the new SAT.

is it really true that GWU has lots of asians? (indians, more specifically?) I know that the great majority of the applicants to these BA/MD programs are asian--> indian... but I was hoping for more diversity.
"nahz nahz, i have a cuz that goes to GW and he says iz loaded wit asians"
Honestly! How can you expect to be accepted into an accelerated medical program if you CANNOT SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH? Bonder123, there are no words in the English language spelled "nahz," "cuz," "iz," or "wit." If you mean to say "no," "cousin," "is," or "with," USE PROPER SPELLING. Your sad attempts to be "ghetto" are not appreciated. You are INDIAN, and no matter how hard you try, will never be a "brotha." Hate to break it to you.

haha, really now, i don't think the grammar stuff really matters. true, the ghetto talk is annoying, but that's not the point.

bonder123, i think you have a pretty good chance; the only thing that's hurting you is that you're indian (i am too) and you're competing against all those other indians who have lots of e.c.s and even higher test scores. but, it doesn't hurt to try.

AnitaVM - i had a difference of 110 between my ic and iic. that's mainly because the iic has a much different curve. getting a 780 is around a 80 something percentile because so many people do well on the iic.

^ about the 2c and 1c --> really!?! i knew about the huge curve, but i didn't know that 780 was 80th %ile! So does that mean a 800 would be around only 90th %ile!? wow that is surprising.... thanx for telling me about that! :)

sat=2200
math1c=740+ ... or dont report it
get as much extracurriculars as u can... u need more hours volunteering.. either that or pick up sum type of research.. just do sumthin... ull be fine tho... write good essays.. tha usual
