Im a junior in high-school studying piano performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Right now I have an unweighted gpa of 3.8 and my SAT is an 1800, but I have only taken it once and would assume it will be significantly higher.

Credentials:

-Chess club: Sophomore year I was a member. This year I am vice president. Senior year I will be president.

-Golf: Freshman year at Chapel Hill High-School before attending uncsa I played on the varsity team.

-Peer Leader: A selective residence life assistance program. Moved in to school a week early to be trained for the program. Weekly meetings, reports, etc.

-Piano: I have attended festivals in California, Switzerland, and North Carolina. Accepted to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts - Highschool. Practice 5-6 hours a day and involved in chamber music at school.

-Electronic Music/Composition: I have an avid portfolio for this.

-Service hours: Have already planned a church affiliated mission trip for this summer

Right now I am a junior and am considering coming back to Chapel Hill Highschool my senior year. The academics are more rigorous, I could get a job, I could study with my old piano professor (currently on the UNC faculty), and I could be more involved in the community. I am worried that me applying to UNC from Chapel Hill high will be pretty tough. Will coming back hurt my chances significantly?
