Help!!!! AP Calculus Ab

Help!!! I'm really behind in my ap cal ab class.. My class is currently taking test for derivitives the chapter after limits my class is finished with this chapter but I don't even get the chapter 1 limits!!!!

I'm having literary F in this class but I don't want to drop out and I really want to get an A...

I'm willing to work really hard even that means I can only get 2hrs of sleep...

But I don't know what, and how to study!!! Help!!!

Do you understand the basic concepts of limits and differentiation? If not, you will have to read/review them. Most of the other content is just differentiation rules (derivatives of polynomial, exponential, trig functions; chain, product, quotient rule, etc.) which may take some practice getting used to.

I know…:frowning: but since my class is taking a test already and will move on to next chapter by this or next week…

An my teacher is the worst teacher in my school
(according to my friends and my self…)

How should I study??

There are lots of resources online (Khan Academy, AoPS, etc.). You can also ask friends or other teachers for help. Don’t be afraid to consult Wikipedia if you need to look up definitions or theorems.

Also, have you tried solving additional problems for practice?

I’m in Calculus AB as well. I’ve found Khan Academy to be useful. Look around for resources online – calculus is confusing for many students. Also, tell your teacher that she/he is a little behind in the curriculum pacing. I think you should at least be at applications of derivatives.

Khan Academy is the reason I went from a C to B+, getting close to that A now. Have you searched for your book online? When my teacher assigns us homework, I found the answers online with work, so I can make sure I understand the process, more so than getting the answer.

Make a list of formulas and paste them on the wall opposite to your study table. Whenever you feel bored just look at those. I am pretty sure you can excel at calculus given that you are ready to work hard.

Don’t worry about limits unless your teacher really puts an emphasis on the limit definitions of derivatives and integrals if you really need to breeze by stuff.
