Help, AP experts out there!

I am trying to decide what AP’s I should take.
I am pretty good at self-studying and I like taking college courses on different topics such as sociology, psychology, english, culture, government, etc.
Anyways, could you tell me about the AP Exams I listed below if you have taken any of them? How hard it is, is it self-study-able and what prep books or textbooks are useful.

US Gov and Politics

Macroeconomics

Microeconomics

Comp Gov and Politics

English Language and Composition

Psychology

Environmental science

Human Geography (I took cc course on Cultural geography during summer)

Thank you!

1 and 4, history is easy

Since you're obviously a humanities whiz, I would take the history tests (particularly World History). It is unbelievably easy.

However, I see that you're not taking any college courses on history so....choose either Psychology, Enviromental science, or Human geog. Compared to the other APs, they're one of the easier ones.

If you're a good writer then Lang will be easy.

Psych and HumGeo are generally very selfstudyable.

english if your writing is good,
gov and pol if you're good at spitting out facts in essays and good w/ history in general.

history if like memorization

typically i've heard the micro/macro exams are hella easy

i've also heard psychology is a bit**

primeminister, what prep books are good for world history AP?

Why would you self-study a bizillion APs? Thats something I don't understand.

So you can get out of freshman year of college, or make it so that you can earn credits toward a masters during your senior year.

You know, colleges have a little thing called "bypass exams" too.

thanx, guys.
Any prep book or textbook advice?

Oh and I read somewhere that Comp Gov comes free with US Gov...
What does that mean?
Are they a combined test or something?

Mathwiz, I didnt know that. Im gonna check if the schools I wanna go to have them. I really should learn more about college, but Ive been busy, and never had the motivation.

soMuch2Do-- it means that you take Comp Gov and US Gov the same year for the price of one test.

18-- PRINCETON REVIEW for AP World History. I found it sooo helpful plus there is a general consensus on CC that princeton review is the best for this subject. start reading its history review about 2 weeks before the test. take note of the gray boxes because there was an essay (on the actual AP test) having someting to do with what was in the box. don't sweat it, it's easier than the practice test in the book.

thanks, primeminister

have you taken ap world? how did it go?

Yep, I got a 5!!!!...miraculously. I was quite worried about it at first- it was my first AP, I didn't read the textbook and just read the Princeton Review about 2 weeks before the test, plus I did horribly on the multiple choice practice test. But it all worked out, I hope it will be the same way for you.

You might want to check, but I believe collegeboard discontinued the two AP exams for the price of one thing. I'm pretty sure you have to pay for U.S. and Comparative Gov separately now.

rhapsody is correct...
