HElp...application misunderstanding

<p>If I applied to a college under an early action plan, let's say University of Florida, and then applied to University of Pennsylvania under early decision (it offers only early decision not early action) then would my UPenn application be withdrawn because I already applied to another school early (even though it was under early action)? Since I know that if I apply early decision to 2 places my UPenn application will be withdrawn, but I am not sure if I apply early action to another school and then early decision to UPenn, if UPenn will be impossible for me... Based on the fact that early decision is binding while early action is not...</p>

<p>No, you are allowed to apply to other schools early as long as it is not binding and the other school does not object. For example you could apply to Penn and UChicago because UChicago does not have any restrictions for early action. However, if you get into both, you must go to Penn. You cannot apply early to Yale, Stanford, or Georgetown because they state that they do not want you applying early decision anywhere if you apply early to one of those schools.</p>
