So I just told my teacher who I've know for almost 2 years to write me a recommendation today. How long should I wait until I remind her to write me one again, without seeming needy/annoying?

The letter of recommendation doesn’t need to go in until the due date for the application - and even then, if it’s late, it doesn’t matter so long as you got your part of the application in on time. If you want to remind him/her (and they are doing you a favor!), you can do it in the form of providing help by giving them the answers to several questions (which students in our local high schools are required to provide to the Guidance Counselor, but often share with their teachers)

1) What are your strengths as a student and as a person?
2) What are your goals, academically and professionally? (and it should ideally tie into why you have chosen the schools you chose to apply to)
3) What if any challenges have you overcome?
4) What else should the recommender know about you that would help them write an effective letter of rec?

If you answer these questions thoughtfully and provide it to the teacher, letting him or her know that you wanted to help them by giving them additional information, you are likely to 1) remind them that they need to get this done and 2) make the task much easier for them. It is not unusual for teachers and gcs to quote directly from the student’s document in our area.

I assume you already provided the stamped and addressed envelopes and filled out as much of the rec form as you can to save them from having to do additional clerical work on your behalf right?

No lol but I’ll consider this. I just asked her politely & she agreed .
