Do I need a sport to strengthen my resume? Will it make a great effect for me?

Do what you love and it’ll shine through your app. If you don’t like sports, don’t have time, or don’t particularly feel like doing one besides for helping your app, don’t do it. I made that mistake fresh-soph year.

You have to show the significance of your extracurriculars. Yes, you had a large number or leadership positions. But did you actually do much? Did you actually make a difference? Keep that in mind.

Unless you’re being recruited for a sport, it has the same weight as any other extracurricular… Meaning its weight is dependent on how much time and effort you devote to it, and what you contribute.

No, you don’t “need” a sport.

I’d suggest you continue or start debating… it’ll serve you good :)

Like other people mentioned keep doing what you like and what you’re good at. You’ll only get better!
