Help! B.N. Duke Scholarship (full ride) vs. Harvard?

I’m sure he chose Duke. A free education at a great school is silly to turn down, unless you’re very wealthy.

Bump. I want to know where the OP decided to attend.

DUKE. I personally just don’t like Harvard UG very much so thats definitely biasing my judgment but I don’t think any school is worth the 200k over Duke. Duke will give you all the same opportunities and will probably be a TON more fun too.

Ireed87, what did you decide??? (PLEASE SAY YOU CHOSE DUKE!)

Paul26–you say everyone in the northeast is judgmental . . . and you’re not???

Congratulations lreed87 on getting the most prestigious admission/awards! I can imagine what a difficult decision that would be, and I would lean towards Harvard too, but on serious consideration, 200 K is a lot of money when u can get almost same education for free, someone like u can probably go to harvard for graduate study!

Also it will be very helpful if u can post ur stats please as I am seeing if I can apply for BN Duke scholarship!

I don’t know if you’re aware of this or not, but one requirement is residency in either North or South Carolina…Students from other states are not eligible. While top stats are important, I think extracurriculars are heavily weighted. Check out the webpage for profiles of previous BN Scholars: [Benjamin N. Duke University Scholarship Program](http://www.bnduke.org/announcements.aspx)

Duke sounds like a better choice to me

Duke all the way baby!
