I need advice.

I sent out Secondary School Reports with erroneous information (hard copies) and I just realized it today. I handed them to my counselor in November and suspect most if not all of them have already been processed by her and sent to colleges.

I'm planning on trying to get the counselor to do new forms for me, but I'm worried that the colleges will think I'm disorganized/difficult if I have to send in new copies.

What should I do?

Call the admission offices and fix the problem

First off, all of the forms are missing my common app ID because I used a template given to me by the office and thus they're all black and white photo copies as well. At least Stanford wants the personalized ones printed out from your specific app, and I know what a bad idea it was to photocopy forms for highly competitive schools in the first place.

My guidance dept. likely won't even redo them because of there only being 16 days left before the deadline. If they do get redone, how are schools going to respond to getting a photocopied set of forms in the first place?

Uhm..not to be insensitive..but your situation is very confusing

i did my common app online so i don't fully understand your situation

lets start from the beginning...

Some guidance departments opt out of online forms and mail them in. That's my problem. I had to mail them in and they're not up to spec.

are these forms the secondary school report?

uhm...how is the information wrong on the forms??
cuz ur counselor is spose to fill them out...

They're missing my Common App ID#.

(slaps head) I'm looking at the secondary school reports and i see nothing about a Common App ID #

All you need is your personal info.

And even if you forgot this "ID #" just call up the schools and tell them you forgot

The common app ID # is printed across the bottom of the page on your pre-filled ones. Stanford requires it and I believe would take this very seriously as they make a big F'ing deal about it in their supplement.

I think it was only Stanford and my guidance counselor agreed to redo them. It seems like this was much ado about nothing.

Thanks, though, four arm!

yea...i thought so :)
