<p>Hi, I've just tried uploading my Common Application essay, but when I click to view the document, no text appears. I took a look the Common Application's support website for applicants and although it had a couple of suggestions as to how to fix the problem, it offered no advice on what to do if none of these suggestions worked (which is my case).</p>

<p>Anyone on here have further suggestions or know what alternatives there are? I'm applying SCEA, so I'm definitely running out of time. Thanks if anyone can help!</p>

<p>What type of document is it? .doc?</p>

<p>If you uploaded it on a Mac as a .docx extension then you won’t be able to see it. I just went onto a PC to see if it had uploaded and you could see it then.</p>

<p>Try saving it as a PDF rather than a docx file</p>

<p>I have a vague recollection that my daughter had to switch browsers (from Firefox to Safari or maybe Internet Explorer) and then it worked.</p>
