Help calculating GPA?

Hi! :) Sorry if this is an annoying thread, but I'm wondering if anyone could help me calculate my GPA. I'm a junior and starting to look at colleges but I'm not sure how to calculate my GPA. Also, I go to an extremely competitive, nationally recognized public high school with a fair amount of grade deflation, and I know that colleges take your class rank into account, but my school doesn't rank, so I'm not sure where I stand. I know that I also have an upward trend, but I don't know how much that counts for..I found this data in our school profile:
Average GPA earned is 3.25 Un-weighted, 3.57 weighted.
Top GPA earned is 4.0 Un-weighted, 4.71 weighted.
25% of the seniors have a Weighted GPA above 4.0.

(Oh, and just another question: If a college's average incoming GPA is 4.0, that means people had GPAs higher than that...so does that mean they're using a weighted GPA for those colleges? Sorry, I'm just kind of confused! Because when I use the college search tool on this site, I can't tell what kind of GPA they're looking at..)

If anyone could help me out, I would be so grateful! :)

An A is worth 4, a B is 3, a C is 2, a D is 1. Then you take the average.

Beyond that, every school weights differently, and has different rules for non-academic or summer classes. If you care about the GPA as calculated by your school, because that’s the one that will appear on your transcript, you should ask your school.

Okay, thanks!
One more question: Does the SuperMatch College Search on this site use the weighted GPA?

Edit: Never mind! Stupid question, sorry :P

If you want to know how your GPA stacks up against the average student at your school, you need to know how your school calculates GPA. This will factor in both weighting, which your school obviously does, and any quirks with the way your school does the calculations.

Our local schools use a different system than that listed above. so that system would not give an accurate GPA as calculated by our schools. You will need to ask your guidance counselor how GPA is calculated, or it may be listed in your student handbook, or someplace similar. It will also be shown on the school profile sent with your transcript so colleges can look at it in context. A top GPA of 4.7 suggests some significant weighting.

Thanks so much for the help!!
I found out that our school uses 10th and 11th grade academic classes, and 1 extra point is given to honors/AP. I think that the 4.7 is just someone taking a ton of AP classes, which most students at my school do, haha.
So if I’m correct, I have 3.7 UW, 4.05 W? If that’s compared to an average of 3.25 UW, 3.57 W where do I stand? Also, when I’m doing the SuperMatch college search, what should I input as my GPA?
