help calculating weighted GPAs!

I need some help calculating my weighted GPA- I know colleges ask for either weighted or unweighted GPA, and I know my school weights AP classes- but I see other applications all over with like a 4.5, and I don't understand how their weights go that high- could someone calculate my GPA for this year if I projected it? I will show you how my school calculates it and if it's different from the way others calculate it please help- My school it doesn't really help to take AP classes- not enough to notice a difference, really...

Block Scheduling

AP Calculus A/A
AP Calculus II A/A
AP Statistics A/A
AP US History A/A/A
AP Biology A/A
AP Physics I A/A
Spanish II A/A
Forensics A

My school would calculate it like this:
AP class with an A: (4.333 x # of courses with an A)
Therefore: (4.333 x 13)
Regular Class with an A: (4.000 x # of courses with an A)
Therefore: (4.000 x 3)

Finally; ((4.333 x 13) + (4.000 x 3))/ Courses Taken total:(16)
-------- GPA: 4.2705625 or 4.271

This added up with Soph. and Freshmen year, all of those divided by three to get our weighted GPA- which really doesn't help GPAs too much... will colleges recognize this- or should I hand calculate my GPA unweighted, get it authorized, and put that down on my application- with my transcript weighted? If I can even do that...

Does other schools do that? Or is mine just stupid..

I'm sorry; I don't even know how my school does it. I can tell you that colleges usually calculate your GPA using their own methods (I found out when I was reading "the truth about getting in"). You shouldn't stress too much; colleges will see how much effort you put in and will make their own judgements.
