I recently decided (very last minute decision I guess... >_>) to look into a couple UC schools, UCLA being one. Since I'm new to this does anyone mind explaining how applying works for a non-California resident? I went to the website and I understand that there are "mininum" Gpas etc. to apply... Is there anything else I need to know?

Sorry I don't know if this is the right thread but I was just hoping someone could give me some basic info so I know at least a little bit of what I'm doing before jumping into the process...

Thanks!

you need 3.0 unweighted GPA. SAT I Reasoning Test OR ACT. Two SAT II's. I think if you're applying to specific schools within UCLA, they might require certain SAT II's. Otherwise, which two you wanna take should be up to you. You won't be able to send letters of recommendation until you've been invited to apply for scholarships within UCLA. There will be three required essays (200 words, 200 words, 600 words). The average SAT I score for admits is about 2000. Your SAT II's should probably be at least 700 each. The average high school GPA is probably about 4.1. Hope this helps.
