<p>I also attended the summer film program for high school students at Tisch this summer so that definitely helped me, and I live in a very small place, so that probably helped also!!</p>

<p>I got in to CAS with a 3.65uw 50/550, 1350 (700m, 650v), 700IIc, 720 US, 700 Biology.
8 AP's: Euro 3, Apush 4, Biology 5, Spanish 3 (AP Calc, AP Phys, AP Gov, AP English)
EC: Basketball (4yrs) Captain 2x, Volleyball (4yrs) Captain, President of a community service club, National Honor Society, a bunch of other stuff. I am also half Japanese which probably helped.
It is hard to compare regular with early because regular is much more competitive. Good Luck</p>

<p>Poor ECs in what way, Shirobot? Tischies generally have extensive ECs in the area to which they're applying. What dept. in Tisch are you interested in?</p>
<p>I'm applying to Cinema Studies. My ECs are horrible, even in that area (not that my school had anything in that area, but yeah). I'd like to think that I have a good portfolio, good grades and test scores, and good essays, but my ECs are still really bad. I'm just wondering if all of that can overcome them. I know that people who get into Tisch are usually loaded with activities and things of that nature, so that's what I'm worried.</p>
<p>i heard that nyu is really selective with the cinema studies program, that it's really hard to get into now. i wanted to apply for it but i didn't want to take the chance since nyu was my first choice.</p>
