Help - Can't find a college with my daughter's interest

@kwhitney, BTW, the biology department at ANY college or university would be a great foundation for what your daughter hopes to do in graduate school and in her career. As long as the college has Vertebrate Biology and Animal Physiology, or similar classes. (Most schools do!)

Cost would be a deciding factor in selecting an UG school as the vet school route is expensive and long.

How about schools with great agriculture schools? I’m thinking Cornell, for instance, if she has the stats, or a land grant university on the coast (sea grant?)
Marine Biology would require another major or minor to improve the student’s background - Eckerd and UNC Wilmington are both terrific for marine science but a biology minor (or other) would need to be added to complement these studies, no matter how strong the depts are.
In any case, a major that specialized isn’t undergraduate, but graduate, level. She should see which of the very few vet schools offer the specialty she’s interested in, then email them to ask whether a marine science/biology double major, or Biology major with Marine Science minor, or another combination (Zoology, applied math, forensic anthropology…?) might be useful to prepare well for admission.
