Help/Chance for UVA/W&M/etc. please! (I will gladly chance back.)

GENERAL:
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian (Chinese)
State: Virginia
First generation college student

STATS-
GPA (W): 4.5867
GPA (UW): ~3.8
Class rank: 57/477 (Top 12%)

SAT I-
CR 780
M 700
W 800
= 2280 overall
(Oct. 1/one sitting - all-around improvement from my Mar. 2011 test)

SAT II-
Will take US History, Literature, and one more on Nov. 5

ACT-
Taken on Oct. 22

APs-
US History (5)
Calculus AB (4)
English Language (4)
And I am taking Physics B, Statistics, English Literature, and Government this year.

My course rigor is, I believe, pretty high. My counselor was very impressed that I decided to take 4 APs, seeing as almost no one takes above 2-3 (and almost no one starts taking them until grade 11 either). There are, however, a few people who are taking 5-6. I have been taking all honors classes since junior year, and the majority of my schedule was honors in 9, 10 grades (I don't know anyone who took all honors courses at that point; I don't think that's possible).

EXTRACURRICULARS:

Clubs:
Asian Alliance Club - 12 - Founder and president (all about educating people about Asian culture and creating a larger impact and understanding of the diverse ethnic roots in my school - this is my "legacy" at school)
Spanish National Honors Society - 11, 12 - Vice President
Investment Club - 11, 12 - Vice President (teach financial responsibility as well as play a virtual stock market game - this is more of a casual club)
BETA - 11, 12
Spanish Club - 10, 11, 12

Sports:
Varsity Indoor Track - 10, 11, 12 - Lettered, all-district, all-region, Scholar Athlete, part of school district, region teams (that's how far we got), organized preseason conditioning workouts, yearly improvement
Varsity Outdoor Track - 9, 10, 11, 12 - Lettered, all-district, Scholar Athlete, part of school district, region teams (again, how far we got), yearly improvement
[I have no intention of competing in college.]

Other:
Work - 9, 10, 11, 12 - I have worked in my family restaurant for the longest time, and it is a huge part of my life (as stated in my application).
Volunteering at Children's Museum of Richmond - around 60 hours in 11, 12 grades (not much, I know, but it is something)
Moderator - 9, 10 - I was a moderator for one of the largest sports forums online, and it required a large time commitment
Blog/Twitter/Journal - I use these all throughout the day, and I mention it in my applications because they are all very important to me. I'd actually love for the adcoms to skim my blog.
Amateur artist - Not really a huge deal, but I used to take art classes and still love to create art, just not in a classroom setting.

OTHER:
Recommendations - Excellent
Essays - Above average (I believe)
National Merit Commended
AP Scholar
Honor Roll
Principal's Award (I don't actually know what this is; I just found it in my room one day.)
Scholastic Art Honorable Mention

COLLEGES:
UVA
William and Mary
Washington and Lee
University of Richmond
VT
JMU

(I know JMU and VT are locks.)

I'm in-state for all of these, so my chances are higher than usual, but I'm still not confident about UVA, W&M, and W&L. UVA is my first choice by far!

I also have questions, if anyone would like to answer...

Basically, UVA has stated many times that their Early Action program (initial year for this) offers no advantage for applicants. I also do not have any Subject Tests to my name, and I am awaiting my ACT score (which I feel is good, though I'm hesitant to say it's better than my 2280 SAT). UVA "strongly recommends" Subject Tests, though I have been told by Admissions that not having them will NOT hurt; it only helps those who do have results.

However, my counselor is convinced I will get into UVA and suggests I apply EA anyway because she believes I absolutely will not be rejected, only deferred. That way, I essentially have 2 attempts at admission. I just don't know if that's a good decision, seeing as my application will be stronger with the Subject Tests and potentially this ACT.

Can anyone help?

And thank you! I will gladly chance back if you provide a link!

I think you have a good shot… Your SAT’s are GREAT, a hard senior schedule, and being on a sports team will help.
