Help, Chances at UPenn CAS

Want to apply to University of Pennsylvania CAS, Class of 2018 Early Decision. It'd be great just to get a blunt answer if I should even try or not.

SAT: M 800, CR 690, W 800
SAT II: not yet taken, hoping to range in low 700s
GPA (out of 4.0): 4.95 weighted
Rank: Within Top 15 out of 400
Senior Year Course Load: 6 APs
Major Awards: AP Scholar w/ Honor

Extracurriculars: Soccer 4 years, FBLA 3 years (officer, no significant awards), volleyball 3 years, member of National Honors Society
Job: Computer service for a legal consultant
Volunteer/Community service: Local library, Fire company

State: PA, Philly suburbs
School Type: Public
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male

Any chance at Penn or any other top-tier schools? I literally have no idea what I want to major in but I know that my stats are fairly good and my ECs are bad. It'd would be great to know where I would stand a chance. If not Penn, where could I look for larger schools with solid academics?

I hope I’m not too late, but I think you have pretty good chances:) good extracurriculars, your GPA is very very high and your SAT’s are pretty good. The only real concern is the 690 in CR, but hopefully the 800’s in writing and math overpower it. Study harder for your SAT II’s so hopefully you won’t get only in the low 700’s. Working for a ‘fire company’ sounds pretty interesting, I think an essay on that would really stand out. Your extracurriculars are not completely outstanding, however, but your community service should make up for it. I would assume you have a 60% chance getting in depending on your teacher recommendations and essays. Your essays really make or break you, so try your best on those and really let your personality come through. Early Decision will really help you. Honestly, maybe I’m unexperienced but you seem to have a really strong application.
I think you would fit in with Duke, University of Michigan, Cornell, NYU, Georgetown. Choose some academically strong safety schools, too, like Penn State or even UMD. I wish you the best of luck :)
