Help! chances(fall 2007)

SAT I around 2100
II: math IIc 800, lit. no idea, Chinese 800, Physics 750
Rank: 3/25
GPA: school doesn't rank
IB full diploma predicted grade: 40+</p>

<p>ECs: MUN (best delegate national conference), swimming, volunteer work, etc.</p>

<p>Citizen of: Canada, Hong Kong
Currently in: Shanghai, China
School: private-local(not really private some gov funding)</p>

<p>disadv: teacher recs, they aren't fluent in English
other factors: seeking aid, wants to do pre-law or pyschology
*how much are they expecting on SATs for an intl residing in Asia since 5th grade?</p>

<p>Why does this say "around" and "no idea?" Are you just guessing about these scores? If you haven't actually taken the tests yet, don't assume your scores.</p>

<p>matth is right. If you are not an American citizen, you will pay full sticker price, unless you can get scholarships from an outside source.</p>

<p>i don't think any college gives aid to internationals, but you may qualify for scholarship. If you are really interested in attending, apply early</p>

<p>legionaire, that's not true. Many colleges give aid to internationals but NYU is one which doesn't. There are a few merit scholarships which are available but they are for the very top international applicants, so most will not receive merit aid either.</p>

<p>NYU doesn't give much need-based aid at all, but matth is right...there is much less merit money devoted to int'l applicants</p>

<p>oh ok, I thought that if you were an international you should pretty expect to cover all expenses. no federal aid for sure, i think</p>
