I want to become a doctor, so I took two science class (all IB) in both 11th and 12th grade.......11th;IB Physics and IB Bio, 12th:IB Chem and IB Bio 2
I am a full Diploma Candidate
EC: Varsity Golf all four years (Captain as a Jr. and Sr., All-League twice, MVP Senior year)

Volunteer: 170+ hours as a tutor, hospital, and music assistant for the local middle school play
I am a first generation college student, from a single parent family(my dad died when I was 8)
As for my essays they were a bit weak, I wrote about how I wanted to become a neurologist to help people like my mom with neurological diseases

<p>Your SAT score is somewhat holding you back for Berkeley and LA, but don’t discount your chances of admission to those schools. For your essays, I really think you missed a golden opportunity to talk about how your mom’s neurological diseases have compelled you to be a neurologist (assuming that they are actually weak and that you’re not being too hard on yourself). </p>
