i wouldnt be so sure about that...cornell doesn't sat whore like some other "selective" schools. waht school are you applying to, and what for? cornell takes that stuff into heavy consideration.

The stats are great, so don't worry about that, it's just the passion that I'm looking for...u have 3 ec's...don't you do more important things outside of just school work (although the ec's you listed are good...just not great compared to other applicants)? That's what I mean

I dont know enough about you to make any type of informed decision.

Your scores seem to be in line, but your rank and ECs are not spectacular. Either way, you definitely have a shot if your application shows creativity and uniqueness.

Dont listen to anyone saying "in in in" or "dont waste your ED on Cornell" because they have no ******* clue what theyre talking about. Applying ED shows that youre dedicated and will definitely help your chances.

to sinewave, im applying to CAS and want to major in bio, and do some stuff with art and sociology (im writing my essays on these three things also, and i think they're pretty good)

btw im an asian male NJ resident so that could potentially hurt me

if i apply ED will cornell also take into consideration 1st marking period grades? our school works on a quarter system so first SEMESTER grades wont come out until late january 2007 for me.
