HELP! - Change in Planned Courses for TAG

Hello guys, I am a community college student. I have already finished all of my major preparation and GE classes and I also have over 60 semester units (which is the requirement for TAG). Right now, I’m just taking extra classes for a possible second major and non-transferable classes just for “fun”.

I submitted my TAG Application for UC Davis and I listed all of my classes and even the planned classes. Within the planned classes, I have a class (which is a transferable class that fulfills a graduation requirement ONLY at UC Berkeley that I can take at any time as an undergraduate). This class is NOT related to my major and it is NOT a GE that I would need at all.

However, looking at the upcoming class schedule for my community college, I don’t think I’ll be able to take that class. This class in particular is only offered at my community college and there is only 1 section of it once a year.

If I don’t take this class, it would mean that there is a change in my TAG plan. I’m kind of worried that this might revoke my TAG. Would this happen given that I already have completed all of my major and GE requirements and have still have over 60 units without this class? Is there anything else I should do?

Thank you so much! :smiley:

They don’t care about any changes. They will work off the November application’s list of courses. You don’t have to contact them. They will then later work off the January update in case there are more changes.

Thanks for the reply;

So I would include such corrections in the list of planned courses on the general UC Application when I fill it out in November? Would I have to put anything in the “Additional Comments” section of the general UC Application?

How does the “January Update” work? Do they send it to every single transfer student? Is it for each specific campus I apply to or is it for the whole UC system?

Yes just put new schedule in nov app. You don’t need to explain. In January the UC will send a link to input final grades for fall and re-enter winter/spring courses, which is where you can make a further change.

Thank you very much for helping me!
