HELP choosing a college?

I am a biology major with an emphasis in pre-pharmacy.

With this in mind and COSTS ASIDE (I'm in-state), what reason do I have to choose one college over the rest? For example, is there a difference in the quality of each school's science/medical program or rate of acceptance into grad school? A difference in the number of intern opportunities, clubs, advisors, etc.?

-USC (still waiting on financial aid)
-UCLA (Regents)
-Cal (not accepted yet, still considering)
-Davis (considering because close to home & known for medical program)
-UCSD (heard about medical program)

Any and all advice would greatly assist my decision - thank you! :)

You have Regents, you’re looking for financial aid, and you’re still undecided?!

I’d pick UCLA in a heartbeat unless the other schools come up with a more compelling offer. I hear that the intern opportunities for pre-med UCLA is pretty good, supposedly better than that at Berkeley (not so sure if this is true).

Haha yes, the Regents is probably what will tip me over  I am still waiting on financial aid offers from Davis and USC before I officially decide, and I don’t want to cross Cal off the list!

I am just curious about the difference between the schools - specifically USC vs. UCLA vs. Cal, because they are all so similar!

Also I am so accustomed to moderate NorCal weather, I might not be able to comfortably adjust to SoCal weather…any input about this? Lol :P

lol, weather? Your problem will be adjusting back to NorCal weather after enjoying SoCal o much. Each of the schools has a different personality, take a visit and see for yourself!

Haha it might sound silly, but I can only take hot weather for so long! Yeah I definitely intend to visit each campus. I’m just bummed that my schedule doesn’t work with the schools’ College/Explore days, so I might have to go off a self-guided tour. ><

maylix,

UCLA is fortunate to be located in a spot that tends to get a nice breeze from the west. It stays rather cool, even in the summer.

I would visit each campus. You’ll never know until you visit and get a feel for the locations. Scope out the area within a few mile radius, talk to students, look at the facilities. You have to “click.”

I would lean toward the cheapest option, however…
