Help clarify please!

<p>I applied to Texas on October 5th. Still haven't heard back. I was 82/785, so just out of top 10%. My school told us that they will be giving us our final ranks on february 18th, before UT says they should start notifying non top-10ers of acceptance or not. What I want to know is if I move into top 10% and send in my new rank am i then accepted?</p>

applicant graduated with a grade point average in the top 10 percent
of the student’s high school graduating class in one of the two
school years preceding the academic year for which the applicant is
applying for admission and…"</p>

<p>Are you sure? </p>
