HELP! Class + College = HARD DECISION

I am a Sophmore currently attending high school, and I wish to attend a 4 year university, most likely University of Texas at Austin , UCSD, or UCMerced. My question is if I were to major in a Psychology/Education major what type of courses would anyone recommand for me to take. I have already completed my Forgein Language and Science recommandation, and I'm stuck at a cross road of wether or not to take another lab course since IT IS a UC requirement and wether to take a 3rd year of mandarine as well. So far my scheduel is very packed. PLEASE, help me out. Please tell me what other classes would I need to take. My career choices would be Psychologist, Counsilor, Coach/Teacher, or Criminal Investigator (I'm planning to take forensic science in senior year).

you should definitely take another lab course since it is a UC req. What have you taken so far in all your subjects? I think if you’re aspiring to be a psychology/education major, continue with both science and english/social studies (mostly english). Read a lot and take english courses that emphasize that. Does your high school offer AP Psychology? If so, that’s something you could take junior or senior year. As for lab, if you don’t like doing calculations, can you take Biology or AP Bio? That’s mainly reading and memorizing. Speaking a second language fluently will come in mighty handy for all the occupations you listed so I definitely suggest keeping mandarin.

If most likely you will be able to go to UTaustin or UCSD, why on earth would you even consider UCmerced?

Assuming you live in California, then you should definitely complete a course curriculum that will allow you to access any of the UC schools.

Experience shows that between soph spring and senior fall, many things could change. Keep your options open.

well my skool does have psych AP and i am going to enroll into it and the only reason i considered UCMerced is because of its space and also because with my grades i think i might have trouble getting into a UTaustin or UCSD. BTW-i already taken bio and BIO AP is a life course which the UC req does not wan i am thinking about enrolling in enviro AP there so i might be able to consider about becoming a field investigator for a police station or an agent that helps police on their cases.
