So I think I made a grave mistake. For activities section under common app, I wrote under one that I volunteered at a hospital and I “oversaw (specific) surgeries”. When I submitted it, I realized that oversaw meant “supervise” not just like experiencing live surgery in the room… I’m such an idiot. I already changed it but before I found out the error I already submitted 4 of my college apps. Do you think this is a big deal? I’m scared that the officers might find that I’m purposely trying to lie even when I did not mean to, since there is no way a 17 year old can tell 40 year old surgeons what to do.
Breath. Then move on. Many successful applications have a typo. Admission officers will know that you didn’t supervise surgery as a HS student. Change the word to “observed” or something like that for your other applications.
