<p>First off, NEVER post your essays on College Confidential, as it just encourages plagiarism. Instead, offer to PM someone your work.</p>
<p>Secondly, the short essay asks you to: </p>
<p>“Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences in the space below or on an attached sheet (150 words or fewer).”</p>
<p>What you have written sounds like you are imagining swimming for an ivy league school (“second heat of the 100m freestyle at the Ivies”). That is NOT answering the question. Your essay, as written, could have been penned by anybody. It’s not specific to your experience in high school. Try again, write something only you could write – but don’t put your writing out there for everyone to see (and copy).</p>
