For the longest time I believed I wanted to be a lawyer but now I am not so sure. I currently attend UCLA and am interested in potentially changing my major to business-economics. My main question is if I want to go into something like investment banking, what is the ideal path? I am only a freshman so I am trying to make my chances of success (in whatever field I end up choosing, but for this, specifically business) the best they can be.

I know that to apply for an MBA one must have valuable work experience. In the LA area, after graduation, what would that be considered? Banks, NGOs, etc? Also, my issue is that, since I am a political science major, I have limited options in terms of post-graduate job opportunities. Would switching to something like business-economics increase said opportunities? What do you think? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
