I've been lurking these boards for a while now and I've collected a lot of information. I have seen many topics about GPA and how it's calculated, what counts, what doesn't..so on. I was pretty assured that I knew what to expect.

I don't know if it's the stress and anxiety of the upcoming filing period but lately I've gotten confused as I've read through some recent posts. I need some clarification.

Here is my situation. I took a tennis course, PE 160, at my local community college during my junior year of high school. I didn't really take it seriously. Long story short, I ended up with a C. While I mentioned it under activities/extra curriculars in my UC app when I applied as a freshman, I never listed it under courses nor did I send transcripts. I was still admitted and able to enroll at UCSB.

So..

Fast forward to today as I am now trying to transfer to UCLA. I took CC courses during the summer.
I have read that all courses, including those taken at CCC will count towards the GPA that UCLA computes and decides admission on. Then I also read that once enrolled at a UC, CCC grades do not get calculated into the GPA.

On the one hand I was happy because I got straight A's this past summer and thought it was going to boost my GPA. Now on the other hand, I'm worried that not only will they not count, but this other CC course WILL factor in as it was taken BEFORE I enrolled at a UC.

It was one C and a 2 unit course.

Here is my current situation:

Major- Anthropology B.A.
GPA- currently a 3.2, unless summer courses at CC count, then ~3.5. If not, will raise to 3.4-3.5 after this fall
Major GPA- 3.85(I took one of my pre reqs at a CCC. If it doesn't count then I have a 3.7)
Pre Reqs- 2/3 required at my UC
ECs- volunteered at the hospital, volunteer at the American Cancer Society, part time job, served as a poll worker twice, CSF life member, valedictorian, varsity tennis for two years, key club, tennis club, Lion Leaders, tennis lessons
Applying to UCLA, maybe UC Irvine as well

UC to UC transfer

Do I still have a chance?? What is my GPA?
