Help contacting admissions officer

I'm a high-school senior applying to Berkeley this year. I'm from Connecticut, so I'm already at a disadvantage because California residents get preference over out-of-staters. I'd really like to e-mail a regional admissions officer and introduce myself, and possibly start some correspondence, to help my chances and make me a little more recognizable. I've searched all over Google and UC-Berkeley's web page, but I haven't been able to get an e-mail address that looks promising for the admissions department. Could anybody help me out with this? Thanks a lot.

No such thing. They do not have regional admissions officer. It is basically a numbers game influenced by your essay and the possibility you may have done something unusual.

One thing we noted is that if you are pretty good in a sport or fine art and want to be involved at the club level, you can get the club coach to submit extra info.

admissions' e-mail is noted in the link above.

But, as seomeom said, demonstrated interest or contacting an adcom early is of absolutely zero value. It's a numbers and essay game. Good luck.
