Are the science courses at CAS difficult in terms of grading? I know most of the intro science classes are curved to a B-, but what are the As Bs Cs and Ds ratio in those classes? How many hours of studying per week is needed for a typical class? Also at what point does, say bio, get curved up higher (i.e. to a B+)?

For the ratio, I think its around a 30/30/30/10 for bio (and chem?). Curves I’m not sure but you should move past the B- curve as you enter upper 200/ lower 300 level courses (past orgo chem). Could someone clarify?

The curves are really dependent on the professor.

In Orgo I/II, about 15-20% get As (including A-), like maybe 40-60% get Bs, and everything else is lower.

For physics, I don’t think they ever released the grading curve.

As for studying, I think the general rule is to expect to spend at least 3-4 Hours of studying per hour of lecture a week. So for a class with 3 hours of lecture every week, you should be studying like 12-16 hours. Thats really a rough rule though.
