Help CSOM Freshman Classes

Hi,

D is trying to complete class choices for orientation/registration. Can anyone PLEASE suggest a good Core Class that fulfills Fine Arts and/or Cultural Diversity?

Is there a way you can search for classes that fulfill more than one Core requirement?

And what is a good combination to take freshman year with the required Econ classes, if you are exempt from Calc I with AP credit?

Fall:
1. Micro Econ 2) Stats

Spring:

 1. Macro Econ 2) Computers in Business

Thanks so much for your help, we are going for the orientation tomorrow, will keep checking CC to look for any replies. Thanks a million.

Mom, the fall/spring courses you list are fine. If your daughter doesn’t AP out of English, taking the Freshmen Writing Seminar in the fall and a literature course in the spring are fine. She’ll take Portico in the fall. If she doesn’t want to do Perspectives, she do PULSE next year to fill out the philosophy/theology requirements. Upperclassmen usually fill the fine arts and cultural diversity courses so she’s probably better off putting those off until she gets a better pick time anyway. If she’s thinking of studying abroad, especially in Italy, she can do fine arts then.

Also, there will be an advisor during orientation who will work with her on her schedule. If she has a basic plan and an idea of what she is aiming to accomplish, they will help with the final selection.
