Help?! CSS Confusion!

Hello everyone!
I applied early decision to NYU, and my CSS is due Nov. 15th. I am working on it and I see that it is asking for the 2014 tax reports, but my parents and I don't know what to do since we don't have it done yet? Should we estimate and go back in and change later?

Please help!
Thanks

Estimate based on the latest pay stubs your parents have. Do the best possible estimates.

You need to contact the college regarding how they want updating done. This cannot be done online like with the FAFSA.

Yes

See Forms;

Post 2 reply refers to the FAFSA in terms of updating…which can’t be completed before January 1.

The OP is inquiring about the CSS Profile. It can NOT be updated on the website at all for any submitted schools. For submitted schools, you must contact each school for their update proce dries for the Profile.

So at some point, you will need to contact NYU about updating the Profile. Some schools do not require updates at all as they verify income using the IRS Data Retrieval tool which you will link to when you complete your FAFSA. Some schools use IDOC. Some schools want a paper copy with written in corrections. YMMV.

But you can submit to the EA/ED schools NOW. Then wait, and you will be able to submit the accurate info for NEW schools you submit the Profile to after the taxes are completed.
