I've been accepted to all with similar financial aid packages. I'm pre-med. Where should I go?

Emory or Dartmouth.

Notre Dame... or face eternal damnation.

Dartmouth.

Not even close. Dartmouth is the most diverse (except case, but rule that out immediately), has the best reputation, the best grad placement (by a landslide) and has an amazing quality of life.

i thought emory was more diverse than dartmouth

Actually it isnt. Dartmouth is pretty diverse

Diversity Index:
Dartmouth .48
Emory .46
Case .38! (I thought Case was more diverse)

Look at the Princeton Reviews ranking for no.5 for "Happy Students" and no.9 for "Best Quality of Life". Only Dartmouth makes these lists... and more (Library, Food, Hardest to Get Into, etc...)

Dartmouth is head and shoulders above the others, IMO.

Are the Princeton Review rankings available online? My sister's a junior in college right now, so I inherited the 2002 edition of The Best 331 Colleges and I'd like to see more up-to-date information.

Princetonreview.com... not the complete list, but good college profiles.

Dartmouth is seriously far and away the best of these choices. Its not only academically better, but the quality of life is the best of the bunch. You can't lose.

I'd recommend Dartmouth College over the others any day.

Unless you are in-love with Emory, Notre Dame or Case, this is really a no-brainer.

I'd go with Emory. Dartmouth is hidden in the middle of nowhere.

(Sorry that I have to diss Dartmouth on its own board.)

vtoodler is going to Emory.

who wouldda thought.

cj.

How do you know that I'm going to Emory?

post history.

The WSJ put Dartmouth FAR above the others in terms of elite grad school acceptance rate. The study by the WSJ included top med schools.

Darmtouth in general has FAR better name recognition, a more open social environment, and incredible strength in the hard sciences. It's smaller, so you'll get more attention as well. If you're a girl, then they also have special one-on-one programs with Sci dept professors where you do research w/ them. Even if you're not a girl, the opportunity to have connection with profs greatly increases with such a small student body. Plus, Dartmouth Medical School is one of the very best, so you have that closeby.

Dartmouth - and I didn't even go there.

Dartmouth, absolutely lol. Though I do have a friend that is currently giving up Cornell for Emory, but...still. Dartmouth just personified everything I was looking for in a school.
