I talked to my guidance counselor and she is literally no help. In fact shes trying to ruin my life someway somehow. Anyways Please provide me a list of colleges to apply to most preferably those in New York. This is urgent and time is running out. I need ALL the help I can get.

Do you care about a large college or small colllege, or a city or rural area? Are you looking for a public college or private? You can use the college match option on this website or other websites for ideas.

Once you narrow down your college lists, prioritize the applications by deadline. I believe you will find that many colleges have a Jan. 1 deadline, which gives you time to put together good applications. However, don’t wait until the last minute to submit because there may be a last minute glitch.

Get your recommendations lined up right away and give them everything they need to submit them and plenty of advance notice of the deadline. Check back with them regularly to make sure everything gets out on time.

Some high schools submit everything electronically, while others submit everything paper. If your school uses paper, give them plenty of time, give them every form they need, fill out as much as you can on each form, and give them addressed envelopes with plenty of extra postage, because you will not know the final weight.

How does your SAT score break down? If math plus CR is 1350 you might be able to consider University of Rochester which would be great for science. But can you afford private?

Apply to the SUNY’s and save your money for grad school!!

Be motivated and keep your grades up while in college!

What SUNYs do u like? What is your budget?

The SUNYs offer very reasonable tuition and a wide range of environments. Also, if you stay in New York State, you are more likely to be eligible for a couple thousand dollars of year of New York state college grants. If you provide some information about an interest in cities vs. rural areas, people can provide some ideas about the various SUNY campuses.

I’ve found websites like www. college ****. com and www. com to be valuable in getting the perspective of students at various colleges and campuses.

I believe most students interested in Med or Dental School would try to attend the Binghampton or Stony Brook campuses, but there are plenty of other choices.
