Help deciding between University of Vermont and UMaine for environmental

I'm going for an environmental/wildlife major. I recently visited and like both schools.
UVM would cost about three thousand more than UMaine. However quality over quantity, I would much rather pay more for the better college.
UVM is in a small city near Lake Champlain, while Umaine is in more of a suburb surrounded by two rivers. UVM seems to be more prestigious. It has The Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources, and seems to have more green buildings. However UMaine is a major research school and seems to offer more opportunities for research and experience, which is an important thing in my field. Umaine also offered me admissions into the Honors College, while UVM did not.
When it came to the campus, I think I liked UMaine's a little more. In fact right now I seem to be leaning more towards UMaine. My main emphasis now is which school will have a better environmental program and give me better opportunities in the future.

I want to make a final decision within the next few hours so I can send in a deposit.

UVM. All the way.
