I'm having trouble deciding on some schools to apply to....
I would like some reaches and some match schools
Preferebly schools with a communications major and that also have a music program.
Oh, and also in the northeast area. But if anyone knows of any elsewhere, feel free to add!

Thanks so much!

Ithaca, if you don't mind the cold, good communications and fabulous music. fairly small school i guess, but the town of ithaca is fabulous.

The offerings of music programs vary from school to school...you looking for vocal? strings? band? marching band? that'll influence your options a lot.

Ummmm....at this point in the calendar, if you're a senior, whatever app you can complete on time will be a blessing. Please say you're only an 11th grader...

DEFINITELY FORDHAM... Great education, great professors, they have Music and Communications majors AND you can study at a traditional campus with Dorms at Rose Hill or/and at the Lincoln Center site, which is in the middle of Manhattan, the Media/Music capital of the world.

Also..why anyone would rather be in Syracuse or Ithaca over NYC when you are interested in Com. and Music, is beyond me,lol...

Fordham has become much more selective recently, accepting about 46%, with an average UW GPA of 3.7 for incoming Freshmen...so this school would be a match and it's got very good programs for what you are looking for....it's not a big school either...only about 7,000 total undergrads..

Between acceptances at Fordham and NYU...I decided on NYU myself for this spring, but I visted Fordham several times, have friends there and almost decided to go there but for my interests, Writing and Film, NYU had an edge in programs...but I actually think I would have preferred, on an emotional level, to attend Fordham..Check it out..

Marist College in Poughkeepsie has a good communications program within its School of Communication and the Arts. Marist is not too large (4,200 undergraduates) and approximately 75% of the students live on campus. The campus looks out on the Hudson River about 1 mile north of the MetroNorth station, which makes NYC, via Penn Station, very accessible. Your stats suggest that Marist would be a good match.

Oooh yeah, Bill O'Reilly went to Marist, and he got pretty far in the journalism world ;) Although not positive if to you comm is the same as journalism, but whatever hehe.
