I need some outsider advice on what I should do. I went into the Univeristy of Houston planning on majoring in EE, but soon found out some of the physics classes were a little too tough for me. I ended up having to drop my physics class to save my GPA. I only struggle with physics though. I did quite well in Cal 1 and 2, I actually understood what I was learning. Then I started looking for a different major and found one that I would have a better chance at, computer engineering technology. This required cal 2, and a lower level physics class I should be able to manage. The only thing I'm worried about with this major is finding a decent job once graduating. I just need some input. What are some decent majors that would fit me better? I want to stay on the technical side of things. Computer science maybe? I can pass the physics class I had to drop, but don't want a major where it plays a major role in the material. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!

I say retake physics. Engineering is one of the roughest majors a uni can offer. It will challenge you, make you want to quit and generally kill your weekends and any social experience you try to forge (atleast it is for me), but I find it worth it. Once I graduate, I feel I’ll have steady employment, but more importantly, I like what I’m learning. I find it amazing to do all the things my predecessors were able to do it. So even when I’m being crushed by the class, I do have a slight grin on my face because I’m learning. It’s tough and difficult, but if you have a passion for it you’ll make it.
