Help! Decisions!

Well I just need some feedback/advice.
Junior year schedule:
0. Math Analysis
1. AP Physics B
2. Spanish 5-6 (3rd year)
3. AP English Language & Comp
4. Art
5. AP US History
6. AP Chem

Situation:
I want to become a National AP Scholar this year, so I planned on self studying 4 more AP's which are: AP Bio, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, and AP Calculus.
So I'm tied between self studying more for the AP's or study more on SAT and study to make it into AIME this year. Also I'm taking about 10-15 Coursera courses throughout the year. So I guess that might be time consuming.
I just want to know what were your experiences with the 4 self study AP's I listed. Any good self study/prep books. Also I heard that the format of the AP Bio test has changed.

All I can really help you with is the AP Bio part. I’m taking it this year as a senior, and the format has supposedly changed a lot. From what I have heard there will no longer be any body systems or plant unit. I have also heard that Cliff Notes used to be a good resource, but now that the test has changed, maybe not so much. I am planning on ordering this [Amazon.com: Cracking the AP Biology Exam, 2013 Edition (College Test Preparation) (9780307945082): Princeton Review: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-Biology-Edition-College-Preparation/dp/0307945081)
which is tailored to the new test. Good luck, it sounds like you have your work cut out for you!

^If I were the OP I would run from the PR book.

The 2013 AP Bio test has changed, and the “2013” PR AP Bio book is just completely wrong.

The 2013 AP Bio test has:

[ul]
[]63 multiple choice questions with 4 answer choices each
[]6 grid-in questions
[li]8 free-response questions total (2 long ones, and 6 short ones).[/li][/ul]

Source: [AP: Biology](<a href=“AP Biology Exam – AP Students | College Board”>AP Biology Exam – AP Students | College Board)

However, the 2013 PR AP Bio book almost completely ignores the testing changes. You can look inside the book and see for yourself by visiting Amazon (use the link in the second post).

Sampling of the goofs:

[ul]
[li]The 2013 PR AP Bio book has practice questions with FIVE answer choices, yet the sample answer sheets in the back only have FOUR bubbles per question.
[/li]

[li]Speaking of the sample answer sheets, I don’t see any spaces for grid-in questions on the answer sheets in the back of the book. LOL.
[/li]
Part 1 of the AP Biology exam consists of about 58 run-of-the-mill multiple-choice questions.
Um - no, there are 63.
[Section II] consists of four free-response questions - the essays.
NO - THERE ARE EIGHT, NOT FOUR, ESSAYS.[/ul]

What’s especially concerning is that the 2013 PR AP bio book is going to be released tomorrow - Sept. 4 - and that there are SO MANY ERRORS IN THE BOOK.

Good luck to anyone buying the “2013” PR AP Bio book.

@lovesanatomy - this post wasn’t directed at you; it was instead directed at the author and editors of the “2013” PR AP Bio book. I really hope they fix the mistakes so that it becomes a serviceable book. In its current state, however, the book is at best fit for the trash bin.

Yeah I agree with IceQube, that’s what many people have been saying.

Oh jeez, well do you know any books that are better? Everyone is saying the old ones won’t work anymore, but what is the alternative?

Does anyone else have advice on the other APs and SAT

…eh…I’m takin Physics B and Chem right now. Nothing hard…so far
