Hey guys, so I've looked at F&M to apply to next fall as a senior. I'm a little confused. On the website, the sole business major accepts 85 students total. Does this mean, that if I apply to F&M, I'll be applying as a business major? Or can I apply as undecided/a different major, and then switch in or try to declare once I'm at F&M? I would like to know, because my counselor recommended to apply under an easier major, and then switch to my preferred major once accepted. However, if I will not be able to switch majors into the business school, I'd like to know that difficulty, so that I can apply as a business major on my initial application. Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Student’s who would like to declare a Business, Organizations, and Society (BOS) major can apply to do that during their sophomore year. On the application you can express interest in any major you’re interested in, but you’re not obligated to actually declare your major. In fact, you can’t declare your major until your sophomore year anyway. By including your major in the application, you’re just showing the office what you might be interested in studying!
