I've been reading posts on here that say that it can take up to four weeks for collegeboard to send SAT scores. Wish I had discovered this sooner. On December 24th, I paid to have my scores sent to four colleges: Barnard College, University of Virginia, Cornell, and the College of William and Mary. The application deadline for all of these schools is January 1st! The latter three are all sent electronically, but Barnard is sent by mail. What will happen if they don't get my scores in time? Will I not get in? Please help!

Don’t stress. Colleges are understanding that Collegeboard takes a long time to send SAT scores so for now, they will just rely on the scores on your application and the score reports should confirm them. Also, most colleges don’t even begin reviewing your applications until a few days after the deadline so they have time to sort/organize them.

Agree with cricket.
As long as you turn in your essays and supplements on time, you’re good.
Counselor/teacher recs and SAT scores are given leeway in terms of deadlines.
GOod luck!

No worries. Your pplication and fee have to be in by the deadline. Since you are RD, they don’t absolutely, positively need your official SAT report until late Feb., but it is good that you can show you ordered it. To be sure, self-report your scores so they have them. All they will need is the official confirmation.

Thanks for your comments! I feel better now and college board actually sent them on the 29th so all the ones that sent electronically got them in time.

Mine were sent then too! :)
