Just a tip: If you really have a question as general as that go directly to CMU-tepper's website: http://business.tepper.cmu.edu/ and find out yourself. It literally takes you minutes and it's a lot faster than waiting for a response.

And yes, you do NEED physics to apply to Tepper.
http://www.cmu.edu/enrollment/admission/know/college_req.html#SIA

As an alternative, you can either quickly enroll in physics right now if it's not too late or apply to H&SS and major in economics with classes in business if you're really intent on going to CMU.

Uhm...the idea of coming to CMU is that you push your limits by taking initiative. Now would seem a good time to start, by just taking a look at CMU's website (which is admittedly poorly designed but still has a lot of useful content) to find this out. If you think posting on CC is the easiest, fastest way of finding out if you need to take physics to get into TSB, I don't think CMU is exactly a good match for you.

plz tell me wat physics has to do with business?
i sacrificed physics for the sake of taking two math classes AP STATS and AP Calc BC
is there anyway to get into tepper without physics?
can i take physics after im in CMU?
~thks for ur help

If you look at the bottom of the website, an * next to a subject means preferred. As you can see, there is no * next to physics in Tepper's admissions requirements.

Sacrificing physics to take AP stats was a bad move on your part, in my opinion. You can always take stats in college but you're only offered High School physics once. When you reach college without a physics background, you'll be drowned in formulas and constants that you have to continually memorize, for the first time.

Sure, you can take physics when you're in CMU, but you won't be taking it in Tepper.

What does physics have to do with business? I don't know. Your best bet is to call CMU's admissions office and bother them about it. But my guess is that since business is a specialized school, they want incoming students to have knowledge in the basic high school core curriculum because then you can't go blaming CMU for not ever learning physics in your life.

cmu's business school is more math oriented than other schools. by taking high school physics, you'll feel more comfortable when being confronted with several abstract theories/ forulas at tepper. but i think this is something you can bypass in your situation, just call em.

it's been 2 weeks since i emailed them, i have called and left multiple messages, so now wat else can i do?

according to the offical colleges 2006 handbook, there is no such requirement to take physics, also collegeboard.com doesnt state that physics is a requirement, so i am wondering now if that website is old or is it just the more specific requirements for applying to CMU.
y just to double check, as a undergrad u apply to tepper right? not as a grad student?
~all help is appreciated
