HELP!!!!Do I stand a chance for University of Florida??

I would reiterate that the 25/75 percentiles for the entire freshman class are irrelevant since 80% of the class is in-state and held to a lower standard. OOS applicants must far exceed a typical in-state applicant to gain admission.

Also, OP states on a few occasions that her GPA and class rank will be higher by the end of senior year. However, UF will not see any of this information on the transcript since the app deadline is in December.

Finally, an old guy rant - feel free to stop reading if you instinctively roll your eyes whenever your dad gives advice. It is a terrible idea to choose a college based on where your boyfriend/girlfriend is going. I have known dozens (maybe hundreds?) of people who have done this and not a single one of them looked back in hind sight and thought it was the best route to take. There are simply too many changes and new pressures in an unfamiliar environment. It would be far better to try the flexibility of a long-distance relationship as you both continue to mature.

I know they won’t see any of my graduating stats however it was recommended to me to send midyear grades immediately. Oh. And ive been with my significant other for almost 5 years now and have known him since childhood. We both love Florida and wanted to go there. Just an FYI so no need to lecture. The application deadline BTW is Nov. 1?
