HELP: Do these count as 2 activities??

<p>I play trumpet year-round on my own and take private lessons during the school year at a local music school (playing in their recitals and such). I'm also in my school's concert band. </p>

<p>Should I list these as 2 separate activities on the Common App (one being "Concert Band member" and one being "Trumpet player"), or should I just list them as one activity under "Trumpet player," distinguishing my lessons at the music school from my role in concert band in the Details/Honors/Accomplishments section?</p>

<p>I honestly don’t think it matters. I have many different music activities, and I split them up into categories.</p>
