I would highly recommend you do not take Math I. It’s actually quite difficult (not in the sense that the math is challenging, but in the sense that the curve is so vicious that it is difficult to get a good score). My friend who got an 800 in Math II got sub-700 in Math I.

I believe that Harvard considers Math I and Math II to be the same subject. Literature would be considered a third subject. Also, you can send a note to the admissions office explaining your inability to take a third if it because of the lack of proper educational opportunities.

In regard to what christiansoldier said about the difficulty, it’s partially true. If you go into math i assuming that because you aced math ii you didn’t need to study, you will get a lowish score. However, I’m really not all that great at math but had to take a math sub test for one of my schools - I studied less than 4 hours for math i (but SPECIFICALLY for math i) and came out with a 780. definitely doable!

mifune: thanks, that makes sense. i guess im going to take lit (i hate poetry and interpreting stuff ugh)

The Lit test is actually really hard. Not so generous curve/legit hard.
Even if you signed up for Lit online, you can just take a random test on the test day, so if there’s another subject you could do well in, you should definitely consider it.

anon: i know, that’s why i wanted to chicken out by taking another math test, lol. what other subject could i take? i don’t know much haha

I found Lit pretty easy. I mean, I didn’t get an 800 (760 rather), but I did respectably considering how little I study for standardized tests.

World History is ridiculously easy. The curve is so lenient! I took it without having taken the course and got a 770.
