Help! Don't know what to major in OR what school to go to???

I'm already in my third semester at my community college (it's almost done). I don't want to be here for any more than one more semester. I have many interests like protecting the environment or journalism or american sign language.

I don't know where I want to study or what schools are considered better academically. If I wanted to go into environmental science, should I go to a school that has a top notch environmental science program? I guess that question goes for anything I would be interested in majoring in. I was thinking of double majoring in journalism and environmental science but that might be too much.

I have looked at schools in my state (Ohio State University, Ohio University, Kent State) but I have researched all of these and they don't seem to get too many good reviews online... Also, I'm not sure if I want such a big campus/student population like Ohio State.

I'm just so lost and don't really know what I'm doing with my college life. I'm almost 21 and I feel so behind on college.

OSU is the best academically and has the widest array of programs/majors for the undecided. It’s a strong school.

BTW - when you get there, take advantage of academic counseling. You are ONLY 20! That is still very young.

call up the dean of admissions at Kent State. Tell her your situation. Ask her if there’s a guidance counselor or admissions officer she could recommend to you who might be able to advise you on your options. One of them is not going for your bachelors just yet. You could start work with your associates and explore options that way while you continue to seek advice from the bachelors experts. There’s no rush to get the bachelors if you don’t know which one to get. Good luck to you.
