HELP dropping classes after acceptance

hey guys i need some advice. im thinking of dropping pre calc because im getting a terrible grade as of now. i have been admitted into cal poly slo and riverside. im wondering if itll have a negative effect on my app or if theyll drop me. i have enough math credits and im also taking ap stats this semester.

Thanks!

Be very careful. You would need to talk to the admissions officers at the two schools before you drop the class. The school could rescind your acceptance if you drop a class without clearing it.

Talk to the school-- they’ll find out anyway, so no point trying to hide it.

Definitely contact the schools - some schools don’t see AP Stats in the same light as math. And some schools want to see 4 years of math…

So I called and uci told me that I should be fine if I dropped as long as I have all my req credits but I’m a bit concerned for slo as they said they would have to review my app again and could possibly recined my app

Just wondering if anyone out there has dropped a class and been rescinded

Oh and I am definently going to inform both schools if I drop

inform them BEFORE you drop the class and then decide if you want to drop it.

It is March and you have the rest of the semester to get your grade up. Suck it up and study hard, and get your grade up to a C or better. Go to your math teacher for help and get a tutor if necessary. They won’t rescind you for a “C”. College is a lot harder than pre-calc in high school, so just do it.
