Help Each Other Thread!

I know a lot of us are asking what are chances are to get into certain schools and we get no replies and still left with questions. This chain is going to be designated to asking for advice on your chances of getting in! We can all help each other the best we can and help each other feel a little more confident about getting into out dream school. :)

I'll start first.

I'm a senior this year and will be graduating this upcoming spring. I'll be applying to colleges in about a month. My top school is SDSU, it has everything I want in a college. I was wondering if you could tell me my chances of getting in without EC's?

I have a 3.95 GPA 10th-11th (I know California schools don't count freshman or senior year in your GPA.)
I got a 1600 on the SATs. (Reading, Math, and Writing)
I have taken 3 years of honors English.
I was on honor roll all sophomore and junior year.
I am hispanic and plan on majoring in business or communications.
The only volunteer work I've done is help at a church festival the past 4 years.

I have changed high schools 4 times so I haven't really had the chance to join any clubs and as for volunteer work I just don't know where I could volunteer. What do you think my chances are without any EC's?

@classof13student Hey- I’ve seen you post like a million times and never answered. Now you have guilt tripped me XD But your GPA is high for SDSU, however your SATs are low. I suggest buying a book and testing for the ACT if you still have time. I find it to be much easier and people who do badly on the SAT typically do better on it (it tests more the stuff you learn in school rather than tricks and stuff). Otherwise, I think you have a fair shot. Its concerning that you dont have many EC’s but I guess it couldnt be helped if your switching schools. Try to play up whatever little things you have done to contribute to your app.
I guess I’ll post my question here also. Although it seems the help on this help thread is lacking XD

Oh yeah! And I highly suggest making accounts on Parchment and Cappex. They are online college websites where you can imput your stats and it gives you a percentage chance of getting in. Its scarily accurate that a computer can analyze all of that stuff, but hey, if it works right! Here you can check it out if you want:
