HELP!!!! Early vs Regular Decision Harvard

My dilemma is whether I should apply to Harvard Early Action or wait for Regular decision. I got my SAT II subject test scores and they are strong but I don’t know if they are strong enough. Should I wait for early action or go for regular decision?

Plus for Early Action:
-Applying Early (which has an advantage according to Harvard)
-I can still send in November SATII subject tests but its my last chance.
-I can get it out of the way and focus on scholarships.

Plus for Regular Decision:
-I can strengthen my essays even further.
-I can take the SAT II Subject tests in November and December
-Make sure my application is solid.

Asalamu Alaykum, akhi (fellow Muslim here)! Contrary to what you think, applying early does not provide an advantage in admissions at Harvard College. Your GPA is excellent, but you need to improve standardized test scores. Currently, you aren’t in the interquartile range for admitted students at Harvard. I would apply RD if I were you. Try to study and bring up your ACT score (take the December test date). I’m here to answer any of your questions, especially to my fellow Muslim brother. ~I’m a current student at Stanford.

Regular Decision

First of all, your ACT score is not the highest. A score of 32 will make you competitive at any college, but 30 may put you at a disadvantage.

That being said, during early action there are many high scorers, legacies, and highly qualified applicants applying. I’m not saying you do not have a chance, but you will look worse against the EA applicant pool than the RA. You will not be at a disadvantage doing this, especially if you are taking the december ACT and things may improve in your application.

Make sure you have some matches.
