I have seen on many threads people that have Tufts on their list of schools they will apply to, but most of whom bash it in their posts and show dislike for Tufts. This wouldn't be a huge problem in my eyes, except that I do like Tufts and I will apply their. So here is my dilemma. I have great EC's, Grades, Recs(I assume), but I am not so sure about my ACT score ( I haven't gotten it back, but my guess is a 27-30) Should I ED to show Tufts that I really want to go their or since their are other schools I value as greatly as tufts(bowdoin and brown), is their anyway I can make my authentic love for tufts known? Thanks.

Don't forget that Tufts has a round 2 of ED, so if your true first choice is Brown or Bowdoin (thinking from your screen name it might be Brown, eh? ;> ) apply to your first choice school ED round one and then if you're rejected or deferred you can choose to apply to Tufts ED II.

You can check out some of AriesAthena's and my earlier posts about different ways of showing interest.

As for TuftsBashing, whateva. ;> My son loves and is thriving at Tufts!

Good luck!

yeah tufts is tends to be quite flexible in that sense.. the ED II option helps applicants bolster their grades... it also enables you to apply to other schools as mentioned by jjsmom

Tufts is an amazing place. the atmosphere and people are amazing. it def helps a lot to apply ED. they like kids that know they want to go. Im going to be a frosh in the fall, it was my first choice and is awesome.
